Quiz
At the end of each lesson, you’ll take a multiple-choice quiz. You can try each quiz up to five times, and you need to get every question right to move on. If you still don’t pass after five tries, just contact us and we’ll help you move to the next section.
Case Study
After you finish all the lessons, you’ll do a short case study. You’ll read a short story about a situation and then answer a multiple-choice quiz, just like the ones you did after each lesson.
Observer Report
Besides completing the online test, you also need to prove your practical skills; for example, you need to show that you know how to wash your hands. Because you cannot attend these practical skills tests, we prepared an Observer Report to help you.
What does an Observer Report look like?
It is a simple checklist; you can click here to download a sample.
Who can mark an Observer Report for me?
Anyone in the food industry who has watched you work with food over time can complete your observer checklist.
Your observer must have the right skills and knowledge and be in a current supervisory role. Many workplaces and organisations are happy for volunteers to assist in exchange for observing you complete the checklist tasks.
Your observer can be:
-
A past or present workplace supervisor, team leader, employer, or manager.
-
A past or present volunteering supervisor or manager, including sporting clubs & community organisations.
Who can a third party mark an Observer Report for me?
After completing all online tests, you will find a file named "Observer Report", and it is the checklist. You can download and email this file to your observer. Your observer can complete this file online or by paper. After marking the "Observer Report", your observer should email this report DIRECTLY to the institute via support@shortcoursefast.com.

Unique Student Identifier (USI) is an Australian government system to keep track of a student’s training records and qualifications.
Your Unique Student Identifier (USI) is your personal education number required for all nationally recognised study, including university and vocational education and training (VET), including diplomas, degrees and accredited short courses.
Students can apply for a FREE unique USI from the government website. A USI code is made up of 10 letters and numbers; it is free and stays with a student for life.
If you complete an accredited short course with us, we will update your nationally recognised training in the system within 15 working days after your training completion.
If you have studied in Australia before, including formal study for qualifications or accredited short courses, you should have applied USI already. If you cannot remember your USI number, you can get it back from the government system.
Click the left picture to access the Australian government's USI system. If you do not have a USI, select "Create your USI". If you cannot remember your previous USI, select "Find your USI".
